Fed up of seeing “No Sat Signal”?
Posted on | December 23, 2009
Are you one of a minor handful of people who have Sky installed on to your communal system and are receiving the error message “No Sat signal”?
We can guide you with a few troubleshooting tips to get this sorted out. If you’re watching Sky and it says “No Sat Signal Being Received” on your screen the best thing to do first is do a quick manual back up. We wanted to make this nice and easy for everyone so we have just put together a step by step guide. Follow this and it should sort out this problem.
- Hold down the “Back Up” button on the front of your box. (Keep your finger on this)
- Remove the plug from the wall with your finger still on that back up button.
- Count to 3.
- Now just put the plug back into the socket. (Still holding that back up button)
- The box should now turn its self on and all lights on the front of the box will light up. You can now let go of the back up button.
- A message on screen should now say “Updating System Software”.
- Leave that to back up and it will then restart its self.
- Once completed turn the box back on and your problem should now have gone.
If you are still seeing “No Sat Signal” the best and fastest way to get this fixed is to get in contact with your Managing Agent to arrange a warranty call of your communal system.
If you don’t have any luck with them, please feel free to give us a call.

Sky + HD New EPG
Posted on | December 7, 2009
It’s now out there. I just got home to see my Sky + HD box EPG has changed. I knew that Sky were rolling out their new EPG across the country, I just never knew when I would get mine.
Looking at the EPG it looks stylish and up to date compared to the old electronic program guide. Finally I can see what I’m watching while seeing what’s on tonight with the good sized screen in the top right hand corner. Using the new system is a lot faster and smoother.
It’s made it a lot easier to either just record the one or record a whole series. I love the fact I also don’t have to keep pressing the information button every time I want to see information on a program. You will see the information above the channel listings and next to the mini TV.
I have no problems with the EPG if anything it’s giving me access to everything I need as soon as I press the TV guide on my remote. Finally I don’t have to keep going back and forward to get what I want.
« go back — keep looking »
