Yes the title is true.. Sky have released the date for their new HD channel, “Sky Sports HD 4″.

Back in January Sky renamed Sky Sports Xtra to Sky Sports 4… since then we have been waiting for them to broadcast the HD version.

Sky Sports HD 4 will go live on April 29th. This will put the total number of HD channels up to 39. They also have another 11 planned by Christmas 2010. This will include Sky News HD.

Freesat have started advertisting that you will be able to watch the world cup in HD using Freesat+.
